The injury bug has a way of finding Kirk Farmer or in this case, Farmer knows how to find it. At a party late Thursday night Farmer got into a fight and broke a bone in his right hand. He will be out four to six weeks and probably will not be able to start the season opener against Bowling Green. A lot of the details are not known but many are saying that Farmer was provoked in the fight, which makes sense. All reports I've ever heard have only been possible as far as Kirk Farmer's character. Very smart and received a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester.
Tough loss but hopefully Darius Outlaw will produce in his starts and Farmer will be able to go a couple weeks into the season.
